Job Opportunity

We are inviting applications for a Research Fellow in Physics, specializing in Astrophysics. This full-time position is available for 2.5 years.

As a key member of the School of Natural Sciences, you will contribute to high-quality research in observational and computational astrophysics, focusing on gravitational microlensing measurements in the Milky Way.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct innovative research projects, publishing findings in reputable journals and presenting at conferences.
  • Supervise research higher degree students, fostering their academic growth and development.
  • Establish and maintain effective collaborations within the University and with international partners.
  • Contribute to the academic well-being of the astronomy group and broader physics discipline.
Requirements
  • PhD or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Excellent research track record, demonstrated by quality publications, conference presentations, and secured external funding.
  • Experience in planning observational programs, reducing and analyzing astronomical data, and supervising student research.
  • Strong scientific computing skills and ability to contribute to building productive links with the community.
