Electrical Engineer Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer Technician to design, develop, and implement electrical systems for residential, commercial, or industrial installations.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of electrical power generation, transmission, and distribution, as well as experience with instrumentation and control systems.

In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating electrical power and solar system generation and transmission, developing apparatus and procedures to test electronic components, circuits, and systems, and supervising the installation, modification, testing, and operation of electrical and electronic systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Electrical Systems: Design and develop electrical systems for residential, commercial, or industrial installations, ensuring they meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate Electrical Power: Evaluate electrical power generation and transmission, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimize system performance.
  • Develop Instrumentation and Control Systems: Develop and implement instrumentation and control systems to monitor and regulate electrical systems, ensuring efficient and safe operation.
  • Supervise Installation and Maintenance: Supervise and inspect the installation, modification, testing, and operation of electrical and electronic systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant electrician apprenticeship program completion.
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science or Diploma in Engineering.
  • Electrician license required in state of practice.
  • 3-5 years of electrical experience preferred.
