Analytics Engineer Position

Job Title: Analytics Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled data modeling expert to fill a critical role in our organization. As an experienced professional in data modelling, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining end-to-end business intelligence (BI) solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with technical stakeholders and project managers to finalise requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Develop complex enterprise data models using DAX and optimise performance for large-scale datasets.
  • Develop and maintain end-to-end BI solutions, including Azure Synapse data models, PowerBI semantic models, deployment pipelines, and PowerBI dashboards and reports.
  • Keep documentation current such as data model solutions (e.g., conceptual, physical, and entity-relationship diagrams).
  • Collaborate with the data engineering team to identify and resolve data quality issues.
  • Conduct performance tuning and optimisation activities to improve the overall performance of PowerBI solutions.
  • Promote the use of PowerBI across the organisation to drive business opportunities and efficiencies.
Requirements:
  • A degree or diploma in Information Technology.
  • Certification in MS Azure (Synapse, Analytics) is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience as a BI Data Modeller, with a strong portfolio of successful PowerBI projects.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling concepts, dimensional & tabular modelling, and data warehouse design principles.
  • Technical strengths in Azure Synapse, SQL, PowerBI, DAX, Power Query, and Power Automate, as well as data modelling tools.
  • Expertise in PowerBI data model optimisation using various external tools.
  • Strong data warehousing solutions & patterns experience.
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions and work within cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of Fabric is highly desirable.
