Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Senior Management Position: Business Manager - Building and Construction. The successful candidate will lead our team in delivering outstanding commercial, residential, and renovation projects.

  • Effectively manage resources to ensure achievement of project schedule.
  • Engage, direct, and lead a team of experienced Civil and Construction personnel.
  • Management of sub-contractors.
  • Accountability of HSE standards, Policies, and Processes.
  • Identify, monitor and develop high levels of compliance and quality assurance.
  • Oversee plans and specifications of the work set out in the contract.
  • Develop scopes of work, detailed cost estimates, budgets, contract bids, shop drawings and deliverable schedules relative to tender package.
  • Oversee cost management, scheduling, profit and loss, labour management, invoice approval, billing, collections, inspections, close-outs and client relations.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of contractual requirements and driving operational efficiencies.
  • Able to build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external parties.
  • Highly motivated and client-focused.
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience as a Construction Manager.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Strong knowledge and extensive experience in building & construction.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and analytical skills.
  • Passionate about motivating and engaging others as you lead your team.
  • Understand the requirements and ensure compliance with the Queensland Building and Construction Commission Act 1991 (QBCC Act).
  • Computer literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Advanced Diploma of Building and Construction (Management)
  • QBCC Open Builders Licence
