Leading the Estimating Department

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our estimating department and drive new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the estimating process for relevant bids, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Develop subcontract and supply packages by compiling procurement plans that meet project requirements.
  • Review request for quotes, liaise with subcontractors and suppliers, and address queries during tender processes.
  • Identify risks and opportunities, collaborate with planners to oversee preliminary construction schedules and resource requirements.
  • Prepare submission documents, pricing, schedules, and associated QA forms for review.
  • Participate in industry, client, and community relations to promote and enhance company image and portfolio.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in estimating with a sound understanding of civil, formwork, REO, and concrete.
  • Proficient in all software programs used in estimating.
  • Ability to break down construction operations into logical sequences of activities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication skills, customer relations, and negotiation abilities.
  • Tertiary qualified in Civil/Structural Engineering and full working rights with a valid driver's license.
