Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Product Design Director to drive the product design capability within our team. This leadership role sets the product design strategy, establishes standards and frameworks, and leads multidisciplinary teams to deliver customer-focused experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Strategy: Define product design roadmaps and align to enterprise priorities.
  • Evidence-led Practice: Institutionalise human-centred design and embed customer voice across decision-making.
  • Business Impact: Ensure design contributes directly to measurable organisational outcomes.
  • Design Operations: Lead governance, tooling, and resourcing to ensure efficiency and scale.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor, coach, and grow product designers, building a high-performing design culture.
  • Influence & Communication: Translate complex design concepts into clear, compelling stories for executives and stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful, you will bring:

  • 11+ years' experience in product design, with at least 5+ years leading product teams.
  • Advanced design thinking expertise and experience with scalable design systems.
  • Proven track record embedding user-centred design in enterprise or regulated environments.
  • Exceptional storytelling, facilitation, and executive engagement skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in design or related discipline, with formal Product/UX/UI design training preferred.
