We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Senior Visual Effects Artist.

About the Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for combining live action and computer generated elements into visually stunning effects shots.

This will involve working with live action plates, 2D tracking, matte extraction, layering elements, and colour grading to create seamless visual integrations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate approaches for assigned shots in collaboration with supervisors and directors
  • Create high quality final shots that meet the overall aesthetic and technical requirements
  • Collaborate as a team member to determine creative solutions and provide feedback on work-in-progress
  • Mentor junior artists and assist them in developing their skills
  • Work to meet defined project milestones within set timelines
  • Participate in daily reviews and contribute to problem-solving efforts
Requirements
  • A strong foundation in fine arts principles, including photography, composition, colour theory, and design
  • Experience in compositing, preferably in the film industry
  • Proficiency in Nuke software
  • Familiarity with Python and/or C++ programming languages is an asset
  • Ability to write custom Nuke gizmos is a plus
