Job Title: Senior Manager Compliance

This role is responsible for providing critical compliance advice and support to drive business growth. The Senior Manager Compliance will be part of a high-performing team that aims to ensure regulatory compliance across various lines of business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide extensive compliance advice on Open Banking and Consumer Data Right obligations.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment across the organization.
  • Advocate for continuous improvement, ensuring recommendations are sustainable and consistent.
  • Assess incidents against regulatory obligations and work in accordance with the Compliance Framework.
  • Support engagement with key regulators, including drafting correspondence and exemption requests.
  • Review customer communications and internal materials to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for Open Banking and Consumer Data Right within the organization.
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law or a related legal discipline.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to apply complex legislative instruments.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience managing non-financial risk, preferably in commercial/business banking.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory obligations applicable to the industry.
  • Proven ability to navigate and apply complex legislative instruments.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a succinct and clear writing style.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, generate buy-in, and drive improvement.
  • Autonomy and self-sufficiency while working collaboratively in a team.
