Port of Darwin Stevedore Opportunity

Aurizon is seeking skilled and experienced Stevedores to join their team at the Port of Darwin.
As a Stevedore with Aurizon, you will play a critical role in facilitating the loading and discharge of cargo, including non-containerised cargo and bulk products. Your responsibilities will include operating machinery such as Liebherr mobile harbour cranes, forklifts, front end loaders and reach stackers, as well as driving vehicles on/off Roll-on Roll-off vessels.
You will be responsible for conducting shipboard and wharf duties, including ship loading, lashing, and unlashing, as well as other general duties. Basic administrative duties, such as tally clerking, will also be required.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have previous stevedoring knowledge and experience. You must hold relevant tickets and skills, including C1 Mobile Harbour Crane, Ships crane, Reach stacker, Rigger, Forklift and Dogman. A strong commitment to safety is essential, and you must be available to work at short notice and flexible with your availability to work day, afternoon, night shifts, and weekends as required.
The successful candidate will have a strong ability to obtain Maritime Safety Identification Card (MSIC) – Mandatory and a C Class driver's licence (unrestricted or provisional). Strong verbal and written communication skills are also required.
Aurizon offers a competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including access to mentoring and development programs, discounts on selected health insurance funds, personal travel, gyms, vehicles and retail brands, parental leave program and super booster.
