The role involves performing dental hygiene assessments and treatments, educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices, and assisting dentists with various tasks.
About the Job:
- We are seeking an experienced Hygienist who can work two days per week, Thursdays and Fridays, providing exceptional patient care and services.
Responsibilities:
- Dental Hygiene Assessments: Perform thorough dental hygiene assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to improve patients' oral health.
- Education and Patient Care: Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, and fluoride application techniques, ensuring they understand the importance of regular dental check-ups.
- Assisting Dentists: Assist dentists in managing dental emergencies, procedures, and surgeries, maintaining accurate patient records, and staying up-to-date with the latest dental hygiene practices.
- Infection Control: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to infection control protocols and guidelines to prevent the spread of diseases.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Hold unrestricted AHPRA registration and professional indemnity insurance (or be able to obtain).
- Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients and support teams.
- Australian Work Permit: Ability to work within Australia, holding all necessary permits and visas.
