Lead Educator Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Educator to join our team at YMCA Yandina Outside School Hours Care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the education program, promoting children's well-being, development and learning, and managing a team environment.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate educator who is looking to take on a leadership role in a dynamic and supportive team. The successful candidate will have a Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent, demonstrated experience in Early Childhood Education, and a comprehensive working knowledge of the approved learning framework.

The Lead Educator will be responsible for:

  • Leading the development and implementation of the educational program
  • Ensuring children's learning and development informs the design of the educational program
  • Liaising effectively with parents, staff and all internal and external stakeholders
  • Making recommendations for improvements to educators' educational programs and practices
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will need to have:

  • A Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in Early Childhood Education
  • A comprehensive working knowledge of the approved learning framework
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A demonstrated understanding of evidence-based best practice approaches to teaching and learning
