The Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) Partner will provide specialist advice and support to managers and staff across various Health, Safety and Wellbeing issues. This role will involve working with internal and external stakeholders to improve Health and Safety across Melba.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing policies, procedures, systems, and improvement projects. They will work closely with the injury management and specialist manual handling ergonomist to provide practical subject matter advice, conduct risk assessments, and coach managers on HSW investigations and inspections.
The HSW Partner will also work with the HSRs and safety committees to build a culture of consultation at Melba around health, safety, and wellbeing improvements. Additionally, they will work with teams on emergency management and business continuity planning to continually improve our capability and response.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist advice and support to managers and staff on Health, Safety and Wellbeing issues
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, systems, and improvement projects
- Work with the injury management and specialist manual handling ergonomist to provide practical subject matter advice
- Conduct risk assessments and coach managers on HSW investigations and inspections
- Work with HSRs and safety committees to build a culture of consultation around health, safety, and wellbeing improvements
- Work with teams on emergency management and business continuity planning
- A current NDIS Worker Screening and Working with Children Check
