Processing Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Refinery Process Operator to join our team. As a Refinery Process Operator, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring processing equipment, loading, unloading and movement of waste streams on site, transferring waste from collection containers, conducting waste sample analysis, diagnosing faults in plant and equipment, maintaining efficient plant operations, and maintaining a safe and clean work site.

• Operating and monitoring processing equipment: Ensure that all equipment is functioning correctly and efficiently.
• Loading, unloading and movement of waste streams on site: Safely load and unload waste streams and transport them to their designated areas.
• Transferring waste from collection containers: Transfer waste from collection containers to processing equipment.
• Conducting waste sample analysis: Conduct regular sampling and testing of waste materials to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards.
• Diagnosing faults in plant and equipment: Identify and diagnose faults in plant and equipment to minimize downtime and optimize production.
• Maintaining efficient plant operations: Continuously monitor and improve plant operations to maximize efficiency and productivity.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Available for 6-8 weeks training on day shift - Mon-Fri 7am to 3pm: Must be available for training during specified hours.
• Great attitude with a willingness to learn: Demonstrate a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Operate and monitor refinery processes and raw materials: Have experience operating and monitoring refinery processes and handling raw materials.
• Start up and shut down processes of the refinery and pretreatment operations: Have experience starting up and shutting down refinery and pretreatment operations.
• Complete paperwork, data entry and records, issue work permits: Possess excellent organizational and administrative skills to manage paperwork, data entry, and record-keeping tasks.
• Proficient in Maths and English: Be proficient in mathematics and English to communicate effectively and perform calculations accurately.
• Mechanical aptitude: Possess mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug test: Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical examination and drug test.
• Chemical handling favourable: Familiarity with chemical handling would be an asset.
• Forklift licence: Possess a valid forklift operator's license.
