Job Opportunity: Hydraulic Engineer

As a well-rounded Hydraulic Engineer, you will play a key role in our growing water team.

This position offers the opportunity to work on various projects, including conveyance pipelines, pump stations, and treatment plants.

You will have the chance to mentor and learn from experienced engineers while working independently as a team member.

The successful candidate will take lead roles in project engineering and technical leadership, providing solutions and service to clients off and on site.

A strong ability to build customer relationships and understand client expectations is essential.

About You:

As a highly driven individual, you possess a diverse range of experiences and are seeking a career that offers autonomy, flexibility, and purpose.

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are necessary to influence and drive successful project outcomes.

Providing support and mentoring to junior team members while working collaboratively with other team members and stakeholders is also required.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field is required.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer registration or eligibility for chartership is essential.
  • Knowledge of water/wastewater industry standards and best practices is necessary.
  • Broad experience in water conveyance and hydraulic engineering is required, including large diameter pipelines and networks, pump stations, treatment plants, and hydraulic structures.

Desirable Skills:

  • Pump and valve selection expertise.
  • Pipe specification and pipeline design knowledge.
  • Ocean outfalls experience.
  • Sludge and slurry pumping experience.
  • Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) skills.
  • Experience with a range of hydraulic software.
  • Developing hydraulic grade lines and hydraulic profiles.
