About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated professional to support our students as a Student Advisor at Victoria University.

You will be the first point of contact for current and future student enquiries, helping them navigate university systems and processes, their personal and academic goals, and setting them up to get the most out of their student experience.

You will work closely with advisory teams, student administration and college staff to provide exceptional support to domestic, international, TAFE and higher education students across multiple campuses.

About the Person

Our ideal candidate will have a customer service mindset and a desire to make a positive difference in the lives of our students. They will have experience in customer service roles and record management systems (preferably in student services), as well as the ability to collaborate and work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver outstanding student support.

The successful candidate will stay calm in busy and sometimes stressful situations, proactively identify and resolve issues where possible and escalate appropriately where necessary, and be able to work autonomously or collaboratively as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate, timely and documented advice to potential and current students on various matters including course information, admissions, enrolment fees and using student systems.
  • Resolve first-level student enquiries efficiently and effectively and escalate when necessary.
