Job Title:

Student Guidance and Support Specialist

">Description:

This position is responsible for providing comprehensive developmental guidance and support services to students in the area of academic achievement, career and educational decision making, and personal/social development.

  • To provide one-on-one counseling sessions with students to discuss their academic goals, interests, and challenges.
  • To work with teachers and other school staff to develop and implement strategies to support student learning and success.
  • To participate in school-wide initiatives to promote a positive and inclusive school climate.
  • To collaborate with community agencies and organizations to provide resources and referrals to students and families as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in School Guidance and Counseling or a related field.
  • Experience working with students and families in a school setting, preferably in a guidance and counseling capacity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • A strong understanding of child and adolescent development, including physical, emotional, and social development.
