Senior Fabrication Instructor

The role of a Lecturer is to provide high-quality education to students. The position involves delivering training, assessment, and guidance in accordance with relevant training package objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering high-quality training and assessment to students in Fabrication and Welding.
• Developing strong relationships with industry partners to ensure relevance and currency of training.
• Contributing to the development of curriculum and resources to support student learning.
• Promoting vocational education and training opportunities to diverse learners.
• Maintaining accurate records and reports to meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications for this role include:

• Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in Fabrication and Welding with current industry involvement.
• Trade qualifications to a minimum of Certificate III.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.
• Strong expertise in advanced welding techniques and comprehensive fabrication skills.
• Understanding of current fabrication industry trends, knowledge, and cultural practices.
• Familiarity with the MEM Training Package and its application in vocational education.
• Proficient use of digital tools to support training delivery.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Advanced technical skills in MIG, TIG, ARC, and gas welding.
• Experience in developing and maintaining strong relationships with industry partners.
• Ability to engage diverse learners and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

• Postgraduate qualifications in Education or a related field.
• Experience in curriculum development and resource creation.
