Enhance social connections and build relationships by developing volunteer programs in the aged care sector. As a Project Officer, you will be responsible for implementing strategies to increase volunteering capacity within our organization.

The role involves recruiting, supervising, encouraging, and training volunteers; maintaining accurate records of volunteer participation and producing regular reports as required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing volunteer recruitment strategies
  • Supervising and mentoring volunteers to ensure they have a positive experience
  • Maintaining accurate records of volunteer participation and reporting regularly
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve program goals

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or a certificate qualification in the social and community services field
  • Sound knowledge of the aged care sector gained through experience, training, or education
  • Demonstrated ability to set outcomes and work methods
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills including networking, stakeholder engagement, research, and report writing skills
  • Demonstrated computing ability including the use of Microsoft and database programs
