Job Summary

Johns Lyng Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asbestos Removal Project Manager to oversee and manage asbestos removal projects in Victoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring adherence to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Supervise asbestos removal teams, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures.
  • Asbestos Removal: Removal of asbestos from various sites, ensuring all removal activities are performed safely and effectively.
  • Site Assessments: Conduct site assessments and develop asbestos removal plans in accordance with regulatory guidelines and project requirements.
  • Communication: Coordinate with project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies to ensure clear communication and adherence to project schedules.
  • Quality Control: Monitor work progress and quality to ensure that all removal activities are performed safely and effectively.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot issues as they arise and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions and ensure project success.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in asbestos removal, with a minimum of 6 removal projects in the past 2 years.
  • Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of asbestos regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and state-specific requirements.
  • Certification: Current asbestos supervisor certification/license (preferred).
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and interact with clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Physical Fitness: Physical fitness and ability to work in various environmental conditions.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license.
  • White Card: White Card.
  • High Risk Work License: High Risk Work License/EWP license - Preferable or ability to obtain.
  • Working at Heights: Working at Heights - Preferable or ability to obtain.
  • Working with Children Check: Working with Children Check – Preferable or ability to obtain.
