As a valued member of our advisory group, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and communities.

Our library of books is created by and for community, designed to reflect the cultural identity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and spark a love of reading.

What You'll Do
  • Provide advice on cultural and social matters related to publishing.
  • Ensure our books are respectful and appropriate.
  • Promote our initiatives through your networks and community.
  • Support us in building partnerships and finding opportunities.
  • Be part of a team that values collaboration and cultural safety.

What We Look For

  • You identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
  • You bring your cultural knowledge and lived experience to the table.
  • You're reliable, respectful, and passionate about storytelling.
  • You have expertise in not-for-profits, business strategy, publishing, education, or children's librarianship.
How You'll Work
  • Attend at least 3 meetings per year (each about 2 hours).
  • Stay in touch via email and meetings.
  • Support the program in small ways outside of meetings.
  • Help us keep the space culturally safe and respectful.
