Job Title: Quantity SurveyorWe are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects, assessing commercial and contractual risks, and ensuring prompt payments of outstanding sums.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and mitigate commercial and contractual risks associated with contracts.
- Prepare accurate and timely applications for payment.
- Monitor commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for the Head of Commercial.
- Ensure compliance with procedures and external legislation governing business operations.
- Facilitate regular discussions with the Operations team to ensure full knowledge of project completion and financial status.
- Establish and administer a regime of effective risk and opportunity management to reduce commercial exposure.
- Support the ongoing development and improvement of commercial management processes.
- Proven experience in the construction sector.
- Ability to communicate, influence, and challenge at all levels to deliver results.
- Holds a full UK driving licence.
- Experience of managing a portfolio of projects.
- Experience of working with main contractors or large subcontractors.
- Experience of commercial processes within large-scale projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to communicate at all levels and across the business.
- Proactive with a can-do attitude, able to handle tasks and drive results without close supervision.
- A team player who actively supports others but can also work independently.
- Company vehicle or car allowance.
- 22 holidays plus Bank Holidays.
