Position Overview
The Business Systems Analyst plays a crucial role in aligning business goals with technical specifications. This position requires collaboration with various teams to convert stakeholder needs into actionable technical directives, ensuring that the implications of changes are communicated effectively to all involved parties.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business challenges and technical obstacles, articulating their impact and value to the organization.
- Collaborate with essential technical stakeholders to explore solution alternatives, outlining the advantages and disadvantages of each, and assist in crafting the solution architecture.
- Engage with business stakeholders to define and map business processes, aiding in prioritization based on business significance and value.
- Translate requirements into clear scenarios (user stories) complete with acceptance criteria and validation standards.
- Facilitate and support User Acceptance Testing for technical implementations.
- Assist in change management efforts by collaborating with Power Users to create user support documentation and guidelines, ensuring adherence to processes and data integrity.
- Contribute to the evaluation of integrating third-party applications with existing systems.
- Support the Delivery Lead in executing Agile practices effectively and provide necessary information for project management and governance.
- Encourage Agile methodologies and assist the team in enhancing their understanding of Agile practices.
Candidate Profile
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- Proven expertise in business process analysis and mapping.
- Experience in Salesforce Administration is highly regarded.
- Strong comprehension of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) within an Agile framework.
- Solid knowledge of data management, including the ability to identify, design, extract, and report on complex datasets, with proficiency in SQL and relational data structures.
- Exceptional analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and robust problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of configuration and coding practices for SaaS systems, particularly with AWS and Salesforce modules.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being capable of operating independently with minimal guidance.
- A strong team player willing to take on tasks beyond their immediate role when necessary.
- Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and the ability to thrive under pressure.
- Experience in liaising with vendors and external organizations.
- Familiarity with information management applications.
- Experience in the education sector and an understanding of the student lifecycle is advantageous.
- Relevant certification in Agile methodologies and demonstrable experience in Agile practices is highly desirable.
