Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Power Generation Workshop Technician to join our team at Cummins. As a key member of our service workshop, you will be responsible for completing diagnostics, repairs, and rebuilds on power generation products under limited supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply documented procedures and policies to complete complex repairs, assemble, and reassemble power generation units, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
  • Perform preventative maintenance based on assessment of power generation units.
  • Assist Level III Technicians with diagnostics and development of repair plans on engines in the workshop.
  • Complete required documentation, such as work completed documents, time sheets, and quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
  • Maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
  • Adhere to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation and report any issues/incidents to their supervisor.

  • Diagnostics Application - Translates customer complaints to develop troubleshooting plan; troubleshoots issue following guided work flows, procedures, specialized equipment, and diagnoses computer software to isolate failed components to enable a successful repair.
Requirements:
  • Apprentice Trained Power Generation/Electrical Technician (Preferred)
  • Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
  • Current relevant electrical certification
  • Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
Experience:

Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience working with power generation products High Voltage/Low Voltage practical experience
