We're seeking an experienced Medical Secretary to join our team, working closely with specialists to provide exceptional care to patients with cardiovascular conditions.

This is a part-time role, working 4 days per week, based at Buderim Private Hospital and Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital. You may also be required to travel between our sites and provide short-term administrative relief at other practices.

Job Description

As a Medical Secretary, you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating specialist schedules, bookings, and clinics
  • Providing PA services to specialists
  • Issuing patient invoices and receipts
  • Attending to account enquiries, billing Medicare, DVA, and health funds
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a medical secretary role
  • Strong medical terminology and cardiology terminology
  • Competent in the use of medical management software (Healthtrack)
  • Highly organised, able to multitask, prioritise, and work under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Liaising effectively with all stakeholders, including hospital and healthcare providers
  • Good attention to detail and well-developed computer literacy
  • A valid Australian driver's license
