Your role in our Cardiac Cath Lab involves working with a diverse array of procedures, including coronary angiography, pacing, minor structural heart interventions, electrophysiology, vascular, and interventional radiology.

The Job
  • Provides direct total patient care to patients to achieve identified outcomes in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures and Care Paths.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and functions in accordance with legislation and common law affecting nursing practice and acknowledges accountability for own actions.
  • Ensures Infection Management policies and procedures are available to all staff and adhered to and implemented.
  • Assists in completion of incidents / hazards / injuries reports.
  • Participates in the documentation of Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures for activities that could pose an OHS risk.
  • Communicates effectively with all customers and patients using appropriate formal and informal channels of communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Develops and implements comprehensive care plans in consultation with multidisciplinary teams.

• Participates in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.

• Contributes to the development of new policies and procedures to improve patient care outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• A Bachelor of Nursing degree or equivalent qualification.

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

• Advanced life support certification, such as ACLS or PALS.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and patient satisfaction.
