
Clinical Nurse Specialist

Your role in our Cardiac Cath Lab involves working with a diverse array of procedures, including coronary angiography, pacing, minor structural heart interventions, electrophysiology, vascular, and interventional radiology.
The Job- Provides direct total patient care to patients to achieve identified outcomes in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures and Care Paths.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and functions in accordance with legislation and common law affecting nursing practice and acknowledges accountability for own actions.
- Ensures Infection Management policies and procedures are available to all staff and adhered to and implemented.
- Assists in completion of incidents / hazards / injuries reports.
- Participates in the documentation of Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures for activities that could pose an OHS risk.
- Communicates effectively with all customers and patients using appropriate formal and informal channels of communication.
To succeed, you will have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, ability to identify and solve problems, with a demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities• Develops and implements comprehensive care plans in consultation with multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintains accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment.
• Collaborates with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of patient care services.
• Participates in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
• Contributes to the development of new policies and procedures to improve patient care outcomes.
Required Skills and QualificationsYou will be successful in this role if you have:
• A Bachelor of Nursing degree or equivalent qualification.
• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Advanced life support certification, such as ACLS or PALS.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and patient satisfaction.
