Job Description:
The Senior Risk Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating the risk management function to ensure effective project delivery to the highest industry standards, on time and within allocated budgets.
Main Responsibilities:
- Risk Management: Undertake both qualitative and quantitative risk assessment to support informed and evidence-based decision-making within the project.
- Project Delivery: Ensure that all elements of risk to the project are identified, analyzed, reported, and solutions/mitigations developed and implemented.
- Communication: Build and promote a risk-aware culture across the project, facilitating risk workshops as required.
- Reporting: Complete risk reporting associated with monitoring project contingency and potential scope modifications made during the project.
- Risk Register: Update the risk register to facilitate the management of the project risk profile.
- Subject Matter Expert: Provide subject matter expert advice to the project management team in relation to risk management.
- Project Controls: Coordinate and review project status reporting and assist with arrangements for key governance meetings.
- Contract Management: Support the project controls and contract management functions as required.
Requirements:
- Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 8+ years of experience working in complex, large-scale multidisciplinary projects in the infrastructure industry (Aviation, Power, Utilities, Rail, etc).
- Risk Management Systems: Experience in using risk databases and risk management systems, including systems/software to support quantitative risk analysis (e.g., CURA, @RISK).
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail.
- Task Management: Able to anticipate and follow-through fully on tasks.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and facilitation skills.
- Service Commitment: Able to demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent service.
