Mobile Device Management Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Device Management Specialist to support Defence programs across Brisbane and Canberra.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the integrity, security, and performance of mobile platforms that enable Defence personnel to operate safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support enterprise MDM platforms across Defence environments.
  • Configure, deploy, and manage mobile devices, including security policies, application distribution, and asset tracking.
  • Implement and maintain mobile security frameworks to ensure alignment with Defence security policies and the ACSC's Essential Eight.
  • Monitor compliance and performance metrics of mobile devices, providing detailed reporting and remediation recommendations.
  • Support integration of MDM systems with identity and access management tools such as Azure AD, MFA, and conditional access.
  • Work closely with Defence stakeholders, ICT teams, and cyber specialists to ensure consistent, secure, and scalable mobile device operations.
  • Provide technical guidance and user support, including onboarding, troubleshooting, and training where required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing enterprise MDM solutions within large or secure organisations.
  • Strong understanding of mobile operating systems (iOS, Android), device compliance management, and app deployment strategies.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, secure mobile configurations, and information security risk management.
  • Familiarity with Defence security requirements and frameworks (e.g. ISM, PSPF, ACSC guidelines).
  • Experience with device enrolment programs, certificate management, and secure network access configurations.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work autonomously or within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Australian Citizenship is essential due to security clearance requirements.
