Senior Project Manager Role in Complex Defence Delivery

This opportunity is to oversee the delivery of integrated work packages, ensuring compliance with project schedules, deliverables, and regulatory requirements.

Job Description:

As a Senior Project Manager, you will coordinate resource planning, supplier engagement, and stakeholder communications in collaboration with the project team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic project plans, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
  • Manage client relationships, including short-notice requests, new tasking, extensions, and stakeholder communications.
  • Monitor project performance metrics and KPIs, support invoicing, travel approvals, and ensure accurate timesheeting.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in senior project management roles focused on defence projects.
  • Understanding of program management principles, with the ability to develop and implement effective project plans.
  • Proven stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with a track record of building positive client relationships.
  • Proficiency in resource management, including workforce planning, budgeting, and performance monitoring.

Due to the nature of the work, you are required to hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
