About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shaft Superintendent to join our team at Webuild S.p.A. in a challenging and rewarding role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requisition and management of project materials, equipment, and services
  • Interpretation and implementation of design documentation and information
  • Technical administration of contracts related to equipment and plant
  • Control and maintenance of company-owned or leased equipment
  • Elaboration and updating of operating costs and rental rates for bids and estimators
  • Maintenance of knowledge on federal, state, and local compliance issues
  • Maintenance of working knowledge of applicable codes and standards for the project
  • Enforcement of site safety at all times
  • Coordination of numerous activities and groups of people to achieve maximum efficiency
  • Development and maintenance of business relationships with workers, manufacturers, dealers, project managers, equipment managers, and subcontractors
  • Support of work areas to ensure management plans and strategies are implemented, maintained, and reviewed
Requirements
  • Trade or qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering
  • White Card
  • Experience working on large-scale construction projects or other suitable projects
  • A minimum of years of specific experience working as Equipment and Plant Manager in a tunnel project
Competencies
  • Ability to supervise team members and work closely with safety and other departments to control and maintain project safety standards
  • Demonstrate a positive 'can-do' attitude
  • Ability to lead and manage teams
  • Sound knowledge of civil construction materials and services
  • Sound knowledge of local WHS standards and regulations
  • Process-oriented, able to analyze complex issues
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across different levels
  • Sound interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Ability to work to deadlines and targets and prioritize tasks under pressure
  • Sound negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Strong initiative and proactive nature
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-developed time management skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Competent and proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word
  • Ability to learn and use different software systems, such as E7
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in remote and challenging areas with extreme cold temperatures.
