Social Work Industry Liaison

Flinders University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join the College of Education, Psychology and Social Work as a Social Work Industry Liaison. This exciting opportunity will support the National Mental Health Pathways to Practice Pilot, requiring the successful candidate to oversee and supervise the facilitation of student placements across the mental health sector.
The Social Work Industry Liaison will provide innovative and inspiring teaching to Social Work students, exploring new partnerships to build capacity for increasing placement requirements. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify, develop, and enact placement relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Working with agencies and service providers in South Australia and the Northern Territory to identify challenges and design creative solutions for placement opportunities and workforce development.
- Contributing to planning, evaluation, and student placement assessment of these topics, undertaking Topic Coordinator duties as required.
To be successful, you will have completed a PhD or equivalent professional experience in an area relevant to Social Work, holding or being eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, with a minimum of five years post-qualifying experience in the mental health sector. Required capabilities include:
- Significant teaching and learning experience at a tertiary level, including curriculum design and field education.
- Evidence of using learning and teaching approaches that enhance student success.
- Demonstrated experience engaging with students and evaluating student placement outcomes via online learning platforms.
