About the Role

As a key member of the EBR management team, the Chief Commercial Officer will play a pivotal role in driving and overseeing the development and commercial strategies of the organisation.

Reporting directly to the Group Managing Director, this senior leadership position will require close collaboration with internal teams to introduce new business activities, create accountability within the organisation, and develop appropriate metrics for measuring success.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Direction: Implementing operational departmental practices aligned with the company's strategic vision.
  • Commercial Advice: Providing guidance and support to program stakeholders on all commercial-related matters.
  • Professional Input: Identifying the need for expert advice on legal, financial, and insurance matters, and working with commercial management and specialists to secure appropriate counsel.
  • Customer Support: Assisting in cost and pricing analysis, as well as providing support on major bids.
  • Commercialisation Strategy: Driving the development and execution of commercialisation strategies, delivering scale-out plans for new products and services based on customer and market needs.
  • Marketing Analysis: Analyzing marketing programs, adjusting strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness.
  • Competitor Monitoring: Tracking competitor products, sales, and marketing activities.
  • Contract Management: Preparing contract amendments and change proposals.
  • Leadership and Motivation: Delivering strategic and operative leadership for the sales growth team, pursuing overall business goals, and contributing to the motivation, drive, and development of talent within the organisation.

  • Effective Stakeholder Engagement: Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Well-Developed Commercial Acumen: Proven capability in contract interpretation, negotiation, and correspondence administration.
  • Leadership and Management: Ability to manage and prioritise own activities to meet project schedules, as well as lead high-performing teams.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: Self-motivated, proactive, and solutions-focused mindset.
  • Risk Management: Risk-conscious without being risk-averse, creative, innovative, and resourceful.
Requirements
  • Education: University degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related discipline.
  • Experience: Senior leadership role with 15+ years of experience in product, sales, and marketing, including managing transformational teams and driving profitability in ambiguous environments.
