Senior Building Inspector Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Building Inspector to lead our team in ensuring compliance with building standards and regulations in Queensland.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership, training, and mentoring to team members to ensure ongoing compliance with relevant codes and policies.
  • Conduct investigations into defective building work and prepare detailed reports on complaints.
  • Administer regulatory provisions of the QBCC Act 1991, including undertaking disciplinary action against building practitioners.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing dispute resolution policies, procedures, and systems.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Hold qualifications eligible for a Builder's License from QBCC in Queensland (mandatory).
  • Possess a current Driver's License and have a good driving record. This position requires frequent travel across the State.
  • Be able to apply contemporary building standards, practices, legislation, and codes within the construction industry, including supervising all building work.
  • Demonstrate high level interpersonal, consultative, negotiation, and mediation skills.
  • Show investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, particularly in a technical environment.
