About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Health Promotion Specialist to join our team at Alfred Health. As a key member of our Home Acute and Community (HAC) program, you will play a vital role in promoting effective health outcomes for individuals and communities.

As a Health Promotion Specialist, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of best practice integrated health promotion strategies across Caulfield Hospital and community-based settings. You will work closely with the Health Promotion Coordinator to implement and evaluate various health promotion initiatives, focusing on priority areas such as early learning services and place-based approaches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead place-based strategies to drive health promotion projects and activities across priority education settings;
  • Collaborate with education settings to build their capacity to complete and navigate health and wellbeing initiatives using a whole-setting approach;
  • Contribute to the implementation and evaluation of evidence-based health promotion activities;
  • Work closely with stakeholders to develop strong and effective relationships and partnerships;
  • Meet individual and team KPIs and targets to meet funding requirements.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in health promotion or related field;
  • Experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based health promotion activities;
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and partnerships with external stakeholders;
  • Knowledge of contemporary health promotion theory and practice, including complex systems and settings-based approaches.
