Hobart Facilities Management Position

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining facilities and equipment across the Hobart CBD area, including performing general maintenance tasks, repairing fitness equipment, painting, building, and ensuring all logged maintenance jobs are completed in a timely manner.
You will also be required to document and maintain maintenance records, report incidents or near misses through safety systems, and provide essential service audits. Additionally, you will work with suppliers, order spare parts, and manage external contractors.
Key Requirements- A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, physically demanding roles.
- Effective communication skills, with a natural ability to build relationships with various stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, comfortable working autonomously.
- Confidence in managing and coordinating external contractors.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably with experience in repairing gym equipment and maintaining maintenance logs. A trade qualification in electrical/mechanical backgrounds is desirable.
