About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Communications Specialist to join our team in Canberra. As a key member of the Communication, Marketing and Tourism Section, you will be responsible for managing media and communications for Parks Australia.

In this role, you will develop and implement communication strategies that showcase the natural and cultural values of our parks and reserves, drive visitation to iconic tourism destinations, and engage stakeholders with our purpose.

  • You will build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders and advise clients within Parks Australia on activities including media opportunities, issues management, stakeholder engagement, and effective ways to drive visitation to our tourism destinations.
  • You will prepare communications materials including media releases, media statements, talking points, social media, and web content.
