Job Overview

This is a cloud engineering role based in Melbourne. The successful candidate will be responsible for bringing automation, cloud engineering, and cost optimisation together to drive innovation and impact.


Key Responsibilities
  • Engineer, automate, and optimise scalable infrastructure for high availability, security, and performance.
  • Champion Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation to create repeatable, reliable environments.
  • Own and improve CI/CD pipelines for rapid, automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
  • Lead cloud cost optimisation efforts to ensure platforms are efficient and delivering maximum value.
  • Provide expert guidance on new services covering cost, security, back-ups, and monitoring considerations.
  • Embed DevSecOps principles by integrating security, monitoring, and compliance into every stage of delivery.
  • Collaborate across teams to enable smooth deployments and incident-free releases.
  • Continuously monitor and enhance availability, stability, and operational efficiency.
  • Explore and adopt new features to drive innovation, reduce costs, and improve scalability.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 3+ years' cloud engineering and automation experience, ideally with certification.
  • Strong understanding of UNIX/Linux administration and scripting skills.
  • Experience with AWS services and container technologies, ideally with certifications to show expertise.
  • Passionate about automation, CI/CD, and bridging development and operations.
  • Strong eye for cost efficiency and cloud spend optimisation.
  • Effective communicator with technical and non-technical audiences.
