We are seeking a talented Drum and Percussion tutor to be part of our passionate Music team at our Wheelers Hill Campus. You will be a natural at nurturing relationships with music staff and students from a variety of backgrounds and enjoy mentoring students during drum and percussion lessons, with potential to expand.

This is a casual opportunity covering Term 3, providing private tuition as well as supporting the Year 5 Music Program.

• Role model dynamic energy and innovative methods to motivate aspiring musicians.
• Build robust interpersonal relationships with both students and staff.
• Partner with the Head of Music to further enhance our school music program.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Demonstrate the ability to teach high-level drum kit (focusing on stage bands and Trinity) and Concert Band material.
• Previous experience tutoring in a school music program.
• Adept at connecting with students and staff.
• Enthusiasm and capability to lead within the Percussion Ensemble program.
• Hold a current employment Working With Children Check

The estimated salary for this role is $60-$80 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in drum and percussion teaching, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
