About the Role:
The Hyatt Centric Melbourne is seeking a skilled Maintenance Officer / Handyperson to join our Engineering Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the hotel's facilities are well-maintained and guests' needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine maintenance and repairs to hotel facilities, including plant machinery and equipment.
- Attend to guest and colleague requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform regular inspections of public areas and report any malfunctions or issues.
- Monitor plant operations and conduct regular inspections during your shift.
- Assist other trades in the completion of tasks as required.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors as needed to ensure compliance with hotel procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive first impression when interacting with guests and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Trade qualification is highly desirable.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a general maintenance role.
- Previous experience in a facilities maintenance role is advantageous.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with advanced proficiency in the English language.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work unsupervised.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to resolve issues effectively.
- Ability to perform a variety of general maintenance and repair works.
- Ability to work and foster connections in a team environment.
