Job Overview

The role of a Network Infrastructure Specialist involves providing technical services to design, implement and maintain secure, stable & efficient IT Networks.

  • Responsible for the delivery of Networks, Telephony, Managed Rack Service and Building Access Service.
  • Collaborate closely with all Network Management pillars and key stakeholders.
  • Develop relationships with end users and understand their business needs.
  • Generate and maintain work instructions via approved Knowledge Management tool to ensure currency and accuracy of documentation, supporting technology agnostic capabilities.
  • Perform regular health checks and maintenance tasks.
  • Work in conjunction with key network vendors.
  • Deliver against our promise to customers and the business.
  • Contribute to the network infrastructure team plan.

You will have extensive knowledge of Cisco base technologies, switching, routing, MPLS, Office 365, Firewall, VMware, Datacentre, VPN, Citrix. LAN & WAN experience is essential. You must be able to identify problems, determine possible solutions and actively work to resolve the issues. Excellent time management skills with the ability to set priorities and follow direction to plan and organise are also required.

The successful candidate will have excellent relationship management skills, as well as highly developed communication skills both verbal and written. Technical proficiency with an aptitude for working with IT hardware is essential. Ability to work autonomously and seek guidance when necessary is also required.
