Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our team. As an essential member of our finance department, you will be responsible for assisting in various accounting tasks, including reconciliations, financial close processes, and record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
  • Support the finance team in cost analysis and profitability reporting, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Prepare and submit BAS, GST, FBT, PAYG, and other tax obligations with precision and attention to detail.
  • Contribute to the preparation of statutory financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Accountant, Accounts Officer, or Finance Officer.
  • Enrolled or qualified CA/CPA status.
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial reporting tools.
  • Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal stakeholders.
