About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Experience Ambassador in Perth. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming environment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Customer Greeting and Engagement: Provide a warm and friendly welcome to customers, making eye contact and using a range of greeting techniques to deter theft.
  2. Supporting Store Operations: Assist other areas within the store as needed, including Foods, C&H, and Operations.
  3. Product Knowledge and Support: Be knowledgeable about the store, supporting key marketing messages, latest products, and common customer inquiries.
  4. Customer Assistance: Assist customers in navigating the store, recognizing when a customer needs help and providing appropriate support.
  5. Incident Handling: Handle various retail circumstances calmly and empathetically, including confrontational situations.
  6. Security and Safety: Act as a visible deterrent against violence, anti-social behavior, targeted theft, and criminal activity to support a safe shopping environment.
  7. Reporting and Communication: Report all incidents through the M&S Incident reporting process and engage with police and other security personnel to improve service to M&S.
Requirements
  1. Confident Presence: Confident and friendly personality with strong communication skills.
  2. Customer Focus: Ability to focus on greeting customers and deterring suspicious activity.
  3. Brand Awareness: Natural empathy with M&S brand and values, including service behaviors.
  4. Self-Motivation: Self-motivated and willing to improvise and suggest or try new approaches.
  5. Appearance and Uniform: Maintain high standards of appearance and uniform standards.
