We are seeking a Senior Clinician to provide mental health support in high-security prisons.

Senior Onsite Clinician

The role involves providing critical mental health services to Corrections Victoria staff, working closely with local teams to develop and implement initiatives addressing mental health and wellbeing issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct individual clinical assessments and interventions for staff seeking treatment for mental health concerns and trauma exposure.
  • Develop and deliver workshops on psychosocial risks and workplace mental health and wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with local teams to implement initiatives addressing mental health and wellbeing issues in high-security prisons.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience at a senior level in providing mental health and wellbeing support.
  • Significant experience in assessment, individual and group treatment models with complex populations.
  • Flexibility and comfort working in fluid and complex environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including relationship building at all levels.
  • Reflective, open to feedback and committed to a culture of psychological safety.
Qualifications:
  • Registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) or Membership of the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW).
  • Psiology Board of Australia Approved Supervisor or Australian Association of Social Workers Accredited Supervisor status is desirable.
  • Specialist endorsement and/or experience in a clinical or forensic field would be highly desirable.
  • Trained in delivering reflective practice or group supervision (desirable).
  • Trained in Psychological First Aid (desirable).
  • Minimum four years post-registration experience, or equivalent.
  • A current Victorian Driver's Licence is required.
