Job Description

The role of Messaging Technician is crucial in delivering a cyber-hardened, integrated, sustainable, and networked mission system for the Royal Australian Navy.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Defence Digital Group, Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group, and the Navy to deliver above-the-line consulting services and Integrated Work Packages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development, build, and implementation of Messaging infrastructure to complex ICT systems.
  • Create and maintain Messaging network reference architectures to support solutions development.
  • Analyse, log, track, and resolve complex issues pertaining to Messaging infrastructure.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and maintaining Messaging Infrastructure across distributed environments.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating complex ICT infrastructure software and applications with Messaging infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of Exchange and AD administration; Message Transfer Agents; Microsoft Skype administration and XMPP chat tools.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills with demonstrable experience of presentation and engagement with stakeholders, projects, and business areas.
