About the Role

You will step into a pivotal position at the forefront of our digital evolution, driving meaningful change and innovation across Australia and New Zealand.

Your Responsibilities
  • Participate in designing and modernizing legacy Java 8 components towards scalable service architectures.
  • Migrate GWT-based logic into more maintainable structures, adopting API-first/backend-for-frontend patterns.
  • Identify and decouple monolithic dependencies across different business areas.
  • Collaborate with architecture and DevOps teams to define deployment strategies that ensure scalability.
  • Work on CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo and contribute to transitioning to modern tooling.
  • Implement engineering best practices, including testing, observability, and secure coding.
  • Mentor other engineers and advocate for continuous improvement.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have multiple years of Java development experience, with exposure to modernization/refactoring contexts. You should have a deep understanding of legacy Java enterprise environments (WebSphere, GWT, JSP) and a proven track record in modularizing and decoupling large codebases.
