About the Role

As a senior academic, we are seeking an individual to support our National CCP Domain Lead in the development and implementation of the CCP domain curriculum within the national MD program.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the National CCP Domain Lead and colleagues across multiple campuses to ensure effective communication and clinical skills throughout the four-year MD program.

  • Support the National CCP Domain Lead in developing, coordinating, and implementing the CCP domain curriculum in the national MD program.
  • Lead the Fremantle CCP Domain in implementing the CCP Domain Fremantle MD Program, including all CCP academic staff, and supporting CCP academics in managing and training clinical skills medical educators and tutors.
  • Work with other Domain Leads, Assessment and Medical Education Unit teams, and academic staff across the MD program to ensure CCP learning objectives are suitably assessed and integrated with other domains where appropriate.

This role will also be responsible for teaching duties in accordance with our teaching policy, participating in relevant committees or groups, and providing administrative leadership of the CCP Domain team in Fremantle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing, coordinating, and implementing the CCP domain curriculum in the national MD program.
  • Leading the Fremantle CCP Domain in implementing the CCP Domain Fremantle MD Program.
  • Working with other Domain Leads, Assessment and Medical Education Unit teams, and academic staff across the MD program.
  • Coordinating and managing clinical exams (OSCEs) in Fremantle across the four years of the MD Program.
  • Providing administrative leadership of the CCP Domain team in Fremantle.

The ideal candidate will possess a medical degree registrable with AHPRA, a Fellowship qualification in Medicine, Health, or Medical Education, or a PhD, as well as experience in curriculum design, delivery, and/or assessment in medical education, preferably in a tertiary setting. Strong leadership, organisational, and project management skills are essential, along with excellent teamwork, communication, and negotiation abilities.

Requirements
  • A medical degree registrable with AHPRA.
  • A Fellowship qualification in Medicine, Health, or Medical Education, or a PhD.
  • Experience in curriculum design, delivery, and/or assessment in medical education, preferably in a tertiary setting.
  • Well-developed leadership, organisation, and project management skills.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and negotiation skills.
