Senior Fashion Designer - Concept to Creation Expert

About the Role:

The Senior Fashion Designer plays a pivotal role in shaping the creative vision of our brand. This position requires a highly skilled and visionary individual who can lead the design process from concept to final product, ensuring our collections align with our aesthetic and market trends.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and create designs for seasonal collections, from initial concept to final product.
  • Conduct thorough research on market trends, consumer preferences, and emerging fashion trends to inform design direction.
  • Create mood boards, colour palettes, and sketches to develop innovative and cohesive collection concepts.
  • Work closely with the production and garment tech teams to ensure that design samples meet the brand's quality and aesthetic standards.
  • Collaborate with merchandising, production, and marketing teams to ensure designs align with business goals and market needs.
  • Provide detailed technical specifications and work with garment technicians to ensure designs are accurately translated into final products.
  • Select appropriate fabrics and materials, considering cost, quality, and suitability for the design.
  • Conduct fittings and make necessary adjustments to ensure the perfect fit and finish of each garment.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in fashion design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design capabilities (please include this in your application).
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), CAD software and other design tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of fashion design, garment construction, and fabric properties.
  • Strong creative vision with the ability to translate trends into commercially successful designs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and fit.
