About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Solution Designer to join our team at Jenny Barbour IT & Project Recruitment. This exciting opportunity will see you working as an Enterprise Architecture Specialist, driving digital transformation and innovation across various projects.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing solution architecture deliverables that align with our overall technology strategy. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that these deliverables address business and customer requirements while adhering to architectural principles and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solution Development: Develop potential solutions for business problems using existing systems, new applications, or custom-developed capabilities as appropriate.
  • Architecture Alignment: Understand the alignment to architectural principles, standards, tooling, strategy, process, and roadmaps.
  • Customer Advocacy: Advocate and drive a focus on customer needs and improving the customer experience.
  • Technical Evaluation: Perform technical evaluation of requirements and assessments for RFI, RFP, and Proof of Concepts.
  • Solution Architecture: Develop a preliminary solution architecture view with context and key inputs during project delivery evaluation phase.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Architectural Decisions: Understand the architectural decisions that need to be made, risks, and issues, and articulate them clearly during governance boards.
  • Solution Options: Identify a variety of solution options, understanding the concepts of minimum viable product through to a perfect solution, and can pragmatically argue and defend positions along that spectrum.
  • Agile and Waterfall Delivery: Can operate in both agile and waterfall delivery modes comfortably.
  • Enterprise Strategy: Ensure that projects are aligned with broader enterprise-wide strategy and architecture to ensure high levels of cohesion, consistency, and reuse across the enterprise.
  • Architecture Community Participation: Participate as a member of the architecture community in architecture process, working groups, council, and governance meetings, as well as all enterprise-wide technology strategy activities as needed from time to time.
  • Communication: Communicate with both external (e.g., solution vendors, customers) and internal (e.g., business GMs) parties to create architecture solutions that are aligned with our strategic intent.
Requirements
  • Experience: Relevant experience in solution architecture, preferably within the enterprise software space.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of enterprise software platforms, architectures, and technologies, including integration patterns.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
