Early Childhood Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified and experienced leader to take on the role of Assistant Director in our early learning centre.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing high-quality education and care to young children. As Assistant Director, you will be responsible for leading day-to-day operations, supporting strategic direction, and ensuring that our centre maintains its reputation for excellence.

About the Role
  • Lead day-to-day operations and support overall leadership and management of the centre
  • Ensure high-quality programming aligned with EYLF and Dripstone Way
  • Promote regulatory compliance, best practice, and continuous improvement
  • Lead and mentor educators, fostering professional growth
  • Strengthen relationships with families and the local community
  • Deputise for the Centre Director as required
  • Support curriculum development, assessments, and professional development

Requirements include:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA approved)
  • At least 1 year in a senior role (e.g. Room Leader or Assistant Director)
  • Strong knowledge of NQF, National Law & Regulations, EYLF
  • Leadership, mentorship, and people management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Confidence to act as Responsible Person and support operational areas in Director's absence
  • Current First Aid, CPR, WWCC (Ochre Card), and accredited Child Protection training
