About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our Corporate Tax team in Perth. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing tailored advice and insights to clients on all aspects of the corporate tax process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and review of company tax returns for a wide range of clients
  • Research and assistance with tax consulting advice such as tax consolidation, tax treaties, hybrid mismatches, controlled foreign companies, withholding taxes, thin capitalisation, permanent establishments, Division 40, etc.
  • Assist clients with ATO reviews, governance matters and audits
  • Working with the ATO to obtain rulings for clients
  • Assistance with preparation of tax effect calculations

You will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced Partners and develop your skills and expertise in corporate tax. Our team is genuinely caring and supportive, and we value individual contributions.

Requirements:
  • University degree in a related discipline, such as Accounting / Finance, Business / Commerce, Legal and/or relevant professional qualification(s)
  • Australian corporate tax experience within a professional services environment
  • Understanding of basic tax effect accounting calculations
  • Analytical skills and an inquisitive mindset, with a desire to deeply understand clients' businesses, challenges and confidence in applying knowledge to routine matters
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to delivering excellent client service
