Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Energy Designer to undertake professional engineering work in the areas of energy, petrochemical, and dangerous goods.

The ideal candidate will support the business through technical direction, oversight, and management of engineering and design projects, developing and assisting less experienced engineers in engineering, control techniques, and other technical areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake complex engineering work involving energy, mechanical, electrical, and control disciplines.
  • Develop and manage engineering and design projects, including feasibility studies and optimisation solutions.
  • Evaluate and optimise solutions to ensure client needs are understood and met.
  • Develop and assist less experienced engineers in technical skills, including engineering, control techniques, and project management.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Senior Energy Designer or equivalent role within an engineering consultancy.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Plant 3D and strong working knowledge of a range of design software packages.
  • Good understanding of energy, mechanical, electrical, and control disciplines, including industrial plant and piping design.
  • Strong leadership, diplomatic, and motivational skills, with experience in team management and collaboration.
